The fashion show of the Harris Tweed Club FW21 / 22 collection took place in the attic of the modernist building of Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, as part of the 27th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The space stands out for its uniqueness and is part of one of Gaudí’s most emblematic works.
Harris tweed takes its name from the Isle of Harris, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, where the islanders using local wool and natural dyes, dyed pure wool taking inspiration from the colors of nature and seascapes, and hand-woven the fabric for centuries for your own use. Harris tweed is today the only fabric in the world made by hand with a designation of origin.
Our philosophy is linked from the beginning to the wool tradition and the collections are often inspired by nature and the sea, which is why we wanted with the FW21 / 22 collection to honor the work and tenacity of these artisans that we admire so much.
In it, we find wide jackets, coats and blazers, woven in jacquard with houndstooth, of multiple colors, from the most sober to the most lively and contrasted. Sweaters and cardigans knitted in cashmere and extra-fine virgin wool in fine gauges and in natural wool colors, from ecru and apricot to mink. Alpaca – light and fine gauge – in vivid colors inspired by wild flowers, from strawberry to purple or pink, and thick, softened cotton corduroy to complete the collection’s fall look.
We complement the Harris Tweed Club collection with XL caps, mittens and scarves in 100% wool. Together with the designer Silvina Musa, from the leather goods brand Musa Bajo El Arbol, we handcrafted the proposal of bags in three sizes inspired by vinatge. Leather footwear, boots and ankle boots with a bit of platform and punk air from a well-known Barcelona store, Un paso más.
The makeup proposal consisted of very clean bases, blush and shadows in a coral tone and the striking point of attention was the eyelashes that we made up with an orange. The hairdresser’s choice was “ponytail” ponytails, a very versatile option like all our collections.
